How to Apply for Driving License Online

Step 1: Visit Parivahan

Step 2: In the homepage select “Driving License Related Services” from the drop down menu “Online Services”

Step 3: Please select your state and continue

Step 4: You will be directed to driving license services page. Click “Apply for driving license”

Step 5: You be directed to the page “Instructions for Application Submission”

You will the shown the stages of application submission. The details are as follows

Step 6: You have to fill the applicant details

Step 7: You have to upload all the necessary documents

Step 8: You have to upload your photograph and digital signature

Step 9: You have to book the slot for DL test

Step 10: You have to pay the required fees

Step 11: You have to verify the payment status

Step 12: You can print receipt once done

Step 13: Appear for the test as scheduled

How to Apply for Driving License Offline

Step 1: Visit Parivahan

Step 2: Download Form 4 or visit your nearest RTO and get the application form

Step 3: Fill in all the details and attach the supportive documents

Step 4: Pay the application fees

Step 5: Book you driving test slot

Step 6: Take a test at your RTO office

Step 7: DL will be provided if you pass the test.

Eligibility for Driving License:

  • Eligibility depends on the class of the vehicle and age of an individual.
  • Motorcycles without gear up to 50cc – Above 16 years with parents or guardians consent
  • Motorcycles with gear – Above 18 years
  • Light vehicles like cars – Above 18 years

Step 4: On the next page click “Check Payment Status”

Step 5: On the next page, type your application number, date of birth and captcha. Then click “Verify”

Step 6: Current status details will be displayed on the next page
