Step 1: Visit Tamil Nadu Government e sevai web portal

Step 2: In the home page click on “Citizen Login” to login to the portal. If not registered please click “New user? Signup here” to create an account with Tamil Nadu e sevai portal to apply for services.

Step 3: In the next page click “Services” on the left hand side panel

Step 4: In the Department wise heading under Services Menu click “Revenue Department”

Step 5: In the next page search for Crackers license and click on “Temporary Crackers License”

Step 6: You will redirected to Tamil Nadu e district web portal or search directly for e district web portal

Step 7: Login into the portal, read the given instructions and click “Proceed”

Step 8: In the next page, applicant search page will be displayed. You can search your details using the following search details

  • CAN Number
  • Applicant Name
  • Applicant’s Father Name
  • Applicant’s Mobile Number
  • Applicant’s Email ID
  • Date of Birth

Applicant will get his pre entered details by searching using his CAN number

Step 9: If not registered for CAN click “Register CAN” to register and get your CAN number.

CAN Registration Application Details are as follows. The following details are to be filled in by the applicant to register for CAN.

Most of details should be filled in both the languages English and Tamil for reference.

Generate OTP and Click on “Register” to generate CAN number.

Step 10: Now click “Proceed” applying for Temporary Crackers License”

Step 11: In the next page your most of the details would be automatically with the help of CAN number. Re check the details like Applicant details, Current address and permanent address.

Step 12: Fill up the Premises details, Description of explosive, Challan details, Contact details and form details.

Step 13: Upload all the scanned copy necessary documents and click “Make payment”

Step 14: You will redirected to payment confirmation, check the application number and fee details and click “Confirm Payment”

Step 15: You can make payment through credit cards, debit cards, internet banking and through UPI payments.

Step 16: You will be receiving an acknowledgement receipt with applicant details, application reference numbers and payment details. Keep it safe for future reference.

Step 17: Your application will be processed by verifying all the given documents. Your Temporary Crackers License will be provided if all the provided documents are correct and as per government norms.

Step 18: You can download the Temporary Crackers License using your application number in acknowledgement receipt.

Temporary Crackers License Fee Details

Approximate fee of Rs.500 will be charged to process the temporary crackers license. It’s an approximate fee and it may get updated as per Tamil Nadu government guidelines.
