Unemployment Certificate Application Online Procedure Tamil Nadu
Government of Tamil Nadu has made the online process to apply for unemployment certificate easy with simple methods. Every unemployed youth can now apply for unemployment certificate online through e district web portal. We have given step by step process to understand the process easily. The details are as follows
Step 1: Please visit Government of Tamil Nadu E Sevai web portal
Step 2: Login using Citizen Login if you already registered and have an account in Tamil Nadu e sevai portal
Step 3: Enter User name and Password, then enter the captcha and click “Login” to get into the web portal
Step 4: You will redirected to homepage and your e sevai services dashboard. All the services related will be displayed. Click “Services” to see the list of services under various departments
Step 5: Select “Department wise” and then select “Revenue Department”
Step 6: In the next step select the name of service, click “Unemployment Certificate”
Step 7: You will be redirected to another page stating details like

Read all the instructions given in the page and click “Proceed” to continue the application.
Step 8: If not registered, you have create an account with e sevai portal and register for CAN (Citizen Access Number). Click “Apply for CAN registration” under unemployment certificate.

Generate OTP and Click on “Register” to generate CAN number.
Step 9: On successful registration you CAN number will be displayed. Note it down and keep it for future reference.
Step 10: Now search the records by entering your newly generated CAN number. Your name and other details will be displayed. Check whether the displayed details are correct and select the option given and click “Proceed” to proceed further.
Step 11: In the next page, your application of unemployment certificate will be displayed. Most of your personal details along with email Id and mobile number can be seen pre filled. Applicant current address, permanent address and contact details cannot be edited.
Step 12: In the next, you have to fill in your education details like

Affiliate Board / University
School / College Name
Year of completion
Step 13: In the next step, you have to fill in “Unemployment from date to Unemployment to date”
Step 14: Then click “Submit”
Step 15: In the next page, you will be asked to upload all the necessary documents in the prescribed format. List of mandatory and optional documents to be uploaded will he listed. Select the document and enter the document number and click “Add” to add the document and upload it.
Step 16: All the uploaded documents will be displayed once you upload all the documents. There is option given to delete if any documents is wrongly uploaded by mistake.
Step 17: Check all the uploaded documents are correct click “Make Payment” to proceed paying service fee.
Step 18: In the next page Application Number, Applicant Name, Date of Application, Service Name and Total Service charge will be displayed. Check it again and click “Confirm Payment”
Step 19: Make the payment using credit cards, debit cards, through net banking and through UPI payment methods.
Step 20: Acknowledgement receipt will be displayed once the payment is successful. You can print receipt or save it to computer for future reference.
You can download your Unemployment certificate once approved by verifying all your uploaded documents. As well as you can check the status of the application by using the application reference number given in the acknowledgement receipt.
