Consumers can pay their electricity bills anytime within the bill date from anywhere. Consumers can register themselves within TANGEDCO and pay their bills through online. Even there is a quick payment option provided for consumers to pay their bills without registration in TANGEDCO portal.
TANGEDCO Web Portal Online Registration
Registering with TANGEDCO helps the consumers to pay their electricity bills every month without any hassles. Once registered consumers can check their bills and units consumed every month through the registered TANGEDCO portal. We have given step by step process to understand how to create an account in TANGEDCO web portal. The details are as follows
Step 1: Visit Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd – Consumer Services web portal
Step 2: In the home page click “New user – Register here” to create an account
Step 3: In the next page select “Existing service connection number” under New application number / service number menu
Step 4: In the next step, you have to select your region
Step 5: In the next step, enter your consumer number without region code and click “Get detail”
Step 6: In the next page, consumer name, address and service status will be displayed.
Step 7: In the next step, you have fill in the following details
- New Password
- Name
- Residence Address
- Pin code
- State
- Country
- Email Id
- Mobile number
Step 8: Enter the captcha and click “Submit”
Step 9: In the next page, there will be message displayed “Activation mail has been sent to your email Id. Activate your account for login”
There will a activation mail sent your registered email Id. You have to click the link to activate the account. Click it and activate it.
Step 10: Re-login again using the newly created User Id and Password
Step 11: Now you can see your bill details and pay it online.
TNEB Bill Payment Online without Registration
Consumers have an option to pay their electricity bills by registering to the portal and they can use the “Quick Payment” option pay their bills without registering to the TANGEDCO web portal.

Step 1: Visit Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd – Consumer Services web portal
Step 2: In the home page click “Quickpay”
Step 3: In the next page, under Quick Pay Payment Gateway. Type the following details
- Consumer number with region code
- Mobile number
- Email Id
- Enter the Captcha and click “Quick pay”
Step 4: In the next page, consumer details will be displayed. The displayed details are as follows
- Consumer Number
- Consumer Name
- Consumer Address
- Bill Amount
- Due Date
Step 5: Read the bill details and click “Pay bill”
Step 6: You will be redirected to Payment page. You can pay your bill through Credit, Debit Cards, Internet banking and UPI payment methods. Services charges will be charged as per bank norms.
Step 7: In the next page, read all the instructions, click the check box and click “Confirm Pay”
Step 8: Make the payment through the given methods and you will be receiving an acknowledgement receipt (E receipt). You can take print out or save it to the computer for future reference.
Step 9: You can see all your previous bills paid details if you are registered with TANGEDCO web portal.
