You can do it online by uploading all the necessary documents and even pay the required fees online.
Documents Required for Change of Ownership in Electricity Connection:
Identity Proof: (Any One)
- PAN Card
- Driving License
- Passport
- Voters ID
- Aadhaar Card
Proof of Ownership:
- Registered Sale Deed
- Last Paid Tax Certificate
- Khata Certificate
Other Documents:
- Indemnity Bond
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the previous owner
- License or Clearance issued in his favour by local authority if required
Step by Step Process to Change of Electricity Connection Ownership:

Step 1: Visit Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited
Step 2: In the home page click “click here to register”
Step 3: You will directed to next page asking for Account ID. You can see your account Id in your electricity bill. Type the account Id, enter Captcha by refreshing it then Click “Continue”
Step 4: On the next page you can see the current owner name and premise address details displayed. You can fill in the missing details mobile number, address details and email Id. Then you can create your user Id and password. After filling all the details, type your security information. Tick the check box and click “Register”
Step 5: Now you will be directed to “Registration Successful Confirmation” page. Click “Ok”
Step 6: You are requested Login again to request for services
Step 7: Enter your new user Id and password to login again
Step 8: Once you sign in, you can see the account summary details. You will be seeing the bill details displayed; you can pay the bill if required.
Step 9: Now click on “Fast Track Services” in left menu bar.
Step 10: Under Fast Track Services, click “Name Change”
Step 11: On the next page enter your name in “New Consumer Name”
Step 12: Then fill up the other details email, date of birth, occupation/designation, Telephone number and mobile number.
Step 13: Specify reason “premise now owned by me” in reason for seeking transfer.
Step 14: Tick the check box
Step 15: Now you have to upload your Identity Proof
Step 16: Then you have to upload proof of ownership
Step 17: Upload all the supportive “Other documents”
Total file size allowed is 8mb for all the documents.
Step 18: Once all the documents uploaded click “Submit”
Step 19: You will be directed to payment page where you can pay the necessary fees.
Step 20: Pay the fees online through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.
Step 21: Keep the receipt and your request Id for future reference.
Step 22: Print “Demand Submission Form” or download it and save it.
Step 23: Take a print out of the necessary documents.
Step 24: Call 1912 for request confirmation or visit the corresponding BESCOM office (Your Sub Division) to confirm your service request and proceed further.
Step 25: Processing time may take up to 15 days to 21 days.
