Step 1: You need open https://www.tnebltd.gov.in/mobilenoentry/ in your browser to update. In the home page, you will be asked to select the ownership option. Select “Owner” if you are a owner or select “Tenant” if you are a tenant in the residence. Then click “Submit”
Step 2: In the next option, you have to select your category have the following options
- Owner Mobile Number
- Owner cum Tenant (Owner Mobile Number)
- Tenant Mobile Number
Select the concerned mobile number and enter the service connection number. (Service can be seen in the EB receipt or Service card)
Step 3: In the next page, you can the mobile that is already registered with the concerned service connection number. There will be a box given to provide your current mobile number. Now you can enter your mobile number and click “Submit”.
Step 4: In the next page you have to enter the OTP received in your current mobile number. Then you have to upload any of the below mentioned ID Proof
The following documents are accepted by TNEB as Identity Proof as mentioned in TNEB website
- Aadhaar Card
- PAN Card
- Driving License
Document size should be lesser than 300kb and jpeg/jpg/png/pdf formats will be accepted.
After finished uploading click “Submit” to proceed.
Step 5: After uploading, your page will be redirected to a confirmation page. There you can see a message saying that “on verification of the Identity proof document, your mobile number will be updated against the service connection number”
This message says that your current mobile number will be updated as soon as possible.
