Know you eligibility first

Necessary Documents

  • Voters ID / Election photo identity card (EPIC) or
  • Updated property tax receipt if you own a house or
  • Latest electricity bill or
  • Latest telephone bill or
  • Bank passbook (Front page with proper account number details and photo) or
  • A copy of passport or
  • Rental Agreement or
  • Latest LPG gas connection bill or
  • Aadhaar card or
  • Allotment order from slum clearance board

Application procedure

Application can be done through offline process, direct online process or through nearby e-sevai centres.

Offline Procedure

Visit your nearest civil services / ration office and get a new ration card application from the concerned authorities there. While getting the application the concerned authorities may ask for your place of residence and some other information, give him/her the information and get the application. Before filling the application, read it completely and start filling it. Answer all the necessary questions asked in the application correctly and truthfully.

Read the application twice and sign it. Submit the fully filled application along with all the necessary documents to the concerned authorities and ensure that all the filled and attached documents are correct. After that get the acknowledgment to confirm the submission of the application. If your application is seen by all the authorities and all your documents are correct then your new ration card issue approval can be given in a few days.

Through E-sevai service centres

You can also apply for a new ration card by going to the esevai center near your home. You have to submit all the documents asked there. When you apply through the esevai center, you have to pay a service fee of Rs.60. An acknowledgment will be given after your application is submitted after paying the service fee. You can track the applied application by using the service request number in the acknowledgement.

Direct Online Procedure by the applicant

Verification Process

No matter how you have applied(mode of application) for the new ration card, the authorities will verify that all the information provided in your application is correct and that all the documents you have attached with the application are correct. After Issuance of New Ration Card
