Step 1: Please go to Digital Punjab official web portal.

Step 2: Click “Apply Services” to proceed further.

Step 3: On the next page, you can see “RTI (Right to Information Act 2005” under the service name. Click “View” in the same tab.

Step 4: You will be asked to sign in to proceed further. Login if you already registered with the digital Punjab web portal. Or create a new account with the digital Punjab web portal.

Step 5: Enter your Email Id (User Id) Password and log in to proceed further.

Step 6: On the next page, instructions to apply for RTI, Application Processing fee details, Government fee details, and how to apply details will be displayed.

Step 7: You will be asked to fill in all the below-mentioned details if you are a new user, the details are as follows

  • Your Personal Details
  • Applicant’s additional details
  • Applicant’s profile picture
  • Address Information (Address for communication and Permanent address)
  • Applicant’s additional details (Email Id and Mobile Number)

Step 8: Fill up all the required details and click “apply” to proceed to the RTI application.

Step 9: Clearly ask your question or write down your query and fill in all the additional details and click “Continue” after re-checking all the entered details.

Step 10: You will be redirected to the payment page. You will be asked to pay the necessary processing fee to process the RTI application.

Step 11: Make the necessary payment by choosing the suitable payment method. You can pay the fee through debit cards, credit cards, net banking, and UPI payment methods. Recheck the payment details and confirm the payment to process the application.

Step 12: You will receive an acknowledgment receipt with the application reference number mentioned in the receipt. Save it and hold the acknowledgment receipt for future reference. You can check your current status of the application using the application reference number mentioned in the acknowledgment.
