What is senior citizen id card?

Its is identity card to show that you are aged above 60 years and senior citizen of India. Senior citizen ID card helps to get unique benefits, privileges and concessions to citizens above the age of 60.

Punjab State Residents are eligible to get senior citizen id cards if their age is greater than or equal to 60.

How To Apply Senior Citizen Identity Card in Punjab Online?

Step 1: Go to https://punjab.gov.in/

Step 2: Click services

Step 3: Click Department of services

Step 4: Site will be redirected to https://connect.punjab.gov.in/service/citizenservice

Step 5: In “Please Select Department” Click “Department of Social Security and Development of Women and Children” and Select Search.

Step 6: In service name “Senior Citizen Identity Card” Select “View”

Step 7: In next page Select “Login to apply” for new users.

Step 8: Register and Verify your identity.

Step 9: Fill in the application form and upload the supportive documents.

Step 10: Pay the applicable processing fees of Rs.20

Step 11: Once done, acknowledgement receipt can be downloaded for future reference.

Step 12: You may be intimated through mobile number or email id once your application is processed.

Step 13: Senior Citizen Card can be downloaded once its processed.

Step 14: Processing time may vary depends government holidays.

  1. Please approach near by Suwidha Centers or Gram Suwidha Kendra’s (GSK) in your location.
  2. Enquire with the authorised operator in Suwidha Centers or Gram Suwidha Kendra’s (GSK).
  3. Please carry all the necessary documents with you before approaching the Suwidha Centers or Gram Suwidha Kendra’s (GSK). Please check “Required Documents” section to know the required documents.
  4. Applicant should submit the request form/application form to the operator along with the supportive documents.
  5. Applicant should prove his identity and age proof by government issued Identity cards. If not, he has to get an age proof certificate from the nearby civil hospital.
  6. Suwidha Centers or Gram Suwidha Kendra’s (GSK) authorised operator will process the applicants request online.
  7. Applicant should follow all the guidelines provided by the authorised operators of Suwidha Centers or Gram Suwidha Kendra’s.
  8. Application will be receiving an acknowledgement slip or transaction reference number. Its should be kept safe for future reference.
  9. Applicants application will be processed and intimated as per guidelines given by the government.
  10. Senior Citizen Card will be processed within 10 to 15 days.
  11. Senior Citizen Card can be downloaded online once processing done.
